Invite your staff from Team, choose between Administrator and Member, and understand which screens each role opens.

Updated on October 9, 2026

Every person signs in to La Comanda with their own account, and the role you assign decides which screens they can open. There are two roles: Administrator and Member. Inviting your team has no extra cost.

The two roles

Administrator: full access. Can manage the team and settings, see every report, manage the menu, tables, registers and the subscription, and of course use the point of sale and the kitchen.

Member: POS and kitchen access. It is the role for cashiers, servers and kitchen staff. A member can open:

  • Point of Sale (/pos): open a shift, take orders and charge.
  • Kitchen Display (/kitchen).
  • My Shifts (/admin/my-shifts): the history of their own closed shifts, with each one's summary.
  • My Tips (/admin/my-tips): the tips that belong to them, direct or pooled, by date range.

Any other admin screen sends them back to My Shifts. On signing in, a member lands directly there instead of the Dashboard, and their sidebar shows only those four options.

The role also governs actions inside the point of sale. For example, removing already-prepared items from a bill can be limited to Administrators only in Settings → Point of sale, and only an administrator can add modules or change the subscription.

Invite someone

  1. Go to Team (/admin/team). Only administrators see this screen.
  2. Press Invite member.
  3. Type their Email address and choose the Role. The default is Member.
  4. Press Send invitation. You will see the invitation sent to their email, and the person appears in the list with the Pending status.

The person receives an email with a link. On accepting it they create their account or sign in and go straight into the restaurant, already activated: there is nothing to configure. If the email does not arrive or the address was wrong, use Revoke invitation and invite again.

Ask your team to use the same email address you sent the invitation to. If they sign in with another account, they will not see the restaurant.

Change a role or remove someone

In the Team list, each person's actions include:

  • Change role: pick the New role and press Update role. The change applies immediately.
  • Remove member: the person loses access instantly. Their history of shifts, sales and tips is kept in the reports.

Several locations

The same person can belong to several restaurants with a different role in each. On signing in, they pick the restaurant with the admin panel's restaurant switcher; each location has its own team, menu and settings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I control what each person on my team sees?

Yes. Everyone signs in with their own account and role, and shifts, tips and reports are shown according to that role. A cashier does not see what the owner sees: a Member only opens the point of sale, the kitchen display, My Shifts and My Tips, and the rest of the admin panel is for Administrators.

Do you charge per user, per terminal or per register?

No. Add your whole team and connect as many devices as you need at no extra cost; the price is per location, not per screen or per person. Every device sees the same orders in real time.

Can one person be in two locations?

Yes, with a different role in each one if you want. On signing in, they pick the restaurant with the admin panel's switcher. Each location has its own team, so you invite them in each one separately.
