Frequently asked questions

Whether you can invoice from La Comanda, what the module costs, how your customers self-invoice and what happens with the monthly global invoice.

Updated on October 9, 2026

The short answers about the Electronic Invoicing module. What each tier includes and how to add it is in Plans and free trial.

Can I issue invoices from La Comanda?

Yes, with the Electronic Invoicing module. You issue CFDI 4.0 invoices stamped with the SAT directly from the order, without leaving the system or re-entering the data. The module is added from Subscription and configured under Settings → Invoicing; it is not included in the free trial and is contracted separately.

What does electronic invoicing cost?

There are two tiers: Invoicing, at $129 MXN/month with 150 invoices included, and Invoicing Pro, at $299 MXN/month with 400. Past your limit, each additional invoice costs $1.00 MXN, and we warn you before you get there. Like any module, it is billed together with your plan on the same invoice and you remove it whenever you want; your issued invoices and your tax details are kept.

Can my customers generate their own invoice?

Yes. Every ticket prints a QR code that opens your self-invoicing portal. The customer enters their tax ID (RFC) and downloads their XML and PDF without your staff doing anything.

What about the monthly global invoice?

It is generated automatically each month from the sales nobody invoiced, so you do not have to assemble it by hand.

What do I need to turn it on?

An administrator sets it up under Settings → Invoicing in four steps: register the restaurant's tax details, upload the SAT's Digital Seal Certificate (CSD) files with their password (the CSD files, not the e.firma ones), open the Facturapi portal so the holder of the RFC signs the Carta Manifiesto, and finally turn on Live stamping. From then on invoices are stamped with the SAT and the currency must stay in MXN.
