Create your restaurant

La Comanda runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install to get started: you create an account, create your restaurant and go into the admin panel. During the 14-day trial you have the complete system and we do not ask for a card.

Before you start

All you need is a computer, tablet or phone with a browser and internet. If you are going to print tickets, you will later need a computer with QZ Tray; that is covered in Install QZ Tray.

Create your account and your restaurant

1. Open lacomanda.io and press Get Started. You land on the sign-up screen. If you already have an account, use Sign In.
2. Create your restaurant. On the Set up your restaurant screen, type your business name. Each restaurant is an independent organization, with its own menu, team and settings.
3. Complete the setup steps. We ask for the restaurant information and the business settings: Currency, Tax rate, Tax name, Prices include tax and Timezone. All of it can be changed later from the admin panel.
4. Review and confirm. Press Create Restaurant. You will see Restaurant Created! and land on the Dashboard at /admin.

Your 14-day trial

The trial starts as soon as you create your first restaurant and lasts 14 days. No card is needed. It includes the complete base plan plus the Inventory Control (at the Pro tier), Reportes Pro and Online Payments & Delivery modules, so you can evaluate them with your real operation. Electronic Invoicing is not included in the trial: it is purchased separately.

You can see how many days remain in Subscription (/admin/billing): it shows the Free trial status, the days remaining and the date it ends.

What happens when the trial ends

When the trial expires, the admin panel, the point of sale and the kitchen display send you to Subscription, with the notice Free trial expired. Your menu, tables, team and history stay saved; to keep using the system press Subscribe and pay by card. The plan costs $149 MXN per month, is billed monthly and you can cancel whenever you want from Manage billing.

While the subscription is not active, your team sees the message Service temporarily unavailable; only an administrator can resolve it.

Early adopter offer

The first 50 restaurants to subscribe pay $49 MXN per month for their first 3 months and then continue at $149 MXN per month. If the offer is still available, you will see it in Subscription as Early adopter offer, with the spots remaining.
