What happens if the internet goes down, where your information is stored, whose it is, how many devices you can connect and how to export or close your account.

Updated on October 9, 2026

La Comanda runs in the cloud: your sales, your menu and your team live on our servers, not on the restaurant's computer, and every device sees them in real time. Here are the questions that raises, from the connection to cancellation.

What happens if the internet goes down?

La Comanda syncs the point of sale, the kitchen and the QR menus in real time, so it needs a connection. It works fine on ordinary broadband, and keeping mobile data as a backup avoids interruptions mid-service.

Without internet, the screens cannot save or receive changes. When the connection comes back, they reconnect on their own and show the current state; there is no need to reload. If a screen seems frozen after reconnecting, reload it. More in Common problems.

If two devices show different things, one of them almost always lost its connection. Reload that device: the correct information is the one in the cloud.

Where is my information stored?

In the cloud, not on the restaurant's computer. If a machine breaks, is lost or is stolen, your sales, your menu and your customers are intact and you sign in from another device with your account. The only thing that lives separately on each computer is the printer configuration: the paper size and the chosen printers are saved in that machine's browser, as Set up your printer explains.

How many devices can I connect at once?

As many as you need, at no cost per terminal, and they all see the same orders in real time. The price is per location, not per screen. The only setting that lives separately on each machine is the printer configuration.

Can I control what each person on my team sees?

Yes. Everyone signs in with their own account and role, Administrator or Member, and shifts, tips and reports are shown according to that role. A cashier does not see what the owner sees: a Member only opens the point of sale, the kitchen display, My Shifts and My Tips. Roles are assigned under Team; see Roles and team.

Is the information mine?

Yes. Your data is yours and you can export it whenever you want. How personal data is handled is described in our Privacy Notice.

Can I export my information?

Yes. Under Reports → Export history (/admin/reports/historical-export) you download your history of Orders, their Items (the line items of each order) and their Payments by date range, as CSV files you open in Excel or hand to your accountant. Without Reportes Pro the range is clamped to the last 90 days; with the module you export any range.

If I cancel, what happens to my data?

You can export your history before you leave. When you cancel from Subscription → Manage billing, access continues until the end of the paid period and you will see the date under Cancellation scheduled. After cancellation your data is deleted in accordance with our retention policy, described in the Terms and Conditions.

How does my team sign in securely?

Everyone signs in with their own account, by invitation from Team: nobody shares credentials. If you forget your password, use the recovery option on the Sign In screen. When someone leaves the restaurant, an administrator removes them under Team → Remove member and they lose access instantly; their history of shifts, sales and tips is kept in the reports.
